Magistratum[edit]

  • The Magistratum was one of the few Colony trains, that needed double tracks due to the massive size of its cars. Two powerful locomotives pulled two court cars, two dining cars, three office cars and a small jail and police car. If you asked one of the Wards abord the Sanct Train, they’d laugh and say “You call a train with eight cars huge? The Sanct Train pulls thirty on a bad day. Get your head out of the gutter, Wilde” But they never stood in the massive chambers, where the ceiling was so high even light couldn’t touch it.
  • Tom remained seated in the uncomfortable chair in the middle of the nearly empty brown train car. Behind him were empty pews where spectators could gawk, in front a large elevated desk and the symbol of the Colonies – twin hammers and a railroad beneath. Despite the recent invention of glasslights, six black chandeliers bathed the room in flickering light, casting random shadows every time a gust of wind stirred the air or the train jolted.

  • abbess's room
  • Nun Yasmin's office
    • She was one of the few nuns, who was allowed to have a small furnace. Her speaking board hung on the wall, a piece of chalk attached to it with a string. The fire crackled pleasantly, without the room becoming too warm. Every piece of furniture was soft enough to sink in. She always had tea brewing, and if you were good, she’d even give you a lump of sugar in it.
