Poem

Girl in blue,
games she played,
eyes all rue,
her self, mislaid.

As wise as she,
With knives of steel,
Rose a blood of sea,
The earth won’t heal.

The mountains weep,
the people shriek,
their hope drowns deep,
their outcome bleak.

A gentle nudge,
a touch so delicate,
all eyes misjudge
the precious element.

A key is laid,
with words renown,
save the maid,
with her, the town.
